Highlight and Promote Characteristic Routes for Tourism Utilization of the Rivers of Kalama and Ofanto – “KALAMA UTILIZATION”
The project goal is to utilize and develop tourism in the intervention area so as to highlight those regions, making the regions near the rivers more accessible so as to promote their natural beauty and utilize the archaeological sites near them, aiming to develop alternative forms of tourism and provide recreation for the residents of the greater area. More specifically, the project aims in utilizing the character of historical, social and cultural heritage, with interventions that are of common interest for the restoration and renewal, as well as the use of cultural heritage as a factor for an integrated periphery development with positive effect on tourism, education and occupation.
